Duck Farming
Question :- Why took the decision of duck farming?
Answer :- I went to participate in the training program related to agriculture organized by Agricultural Technology Management Agency, Atma, Buxar, where I asked the trainers about the latest technology to increase income in agriculture and animal husbandry sector. There I was told about the benefits of duck farming by the trainer of Atma Sansthan.
At night after coming back home from training, I discussed this with my wife on duck farming. My wife also decided to support me after knowing about the benefits of this duck farming. The next day I went to the Atma Office, Buxar and got detailed information about duck farming. Then what was it, my wife and I decided to follow the path shown by the soul, Buxar for duck farming and started work in the field of duck farming.
Question :- Tell about the cost involved in duck farming?
Answer :- While doing duck farming, first of all we selected Khaki Camp Bell breed of duck which starts laying eggs in less time. The cost of which comes from 60 to 70 rupees per chick. First of all, I bought 1000 chicks from Ekauni village of Arrah district. Built a shed near his house for rearing chicks and built a three feet wide drain around the shed for the chicks to drink water. The total cost for the construction of duck chicks and shed came to about one lakh rupees. It costs Re 1 per duck for three months and Rs 2 per duck for three to five months. After five to six months, the chicks get ready in the form of ducks and start laying eggs. Two to three rupees are spent per duck at the time of laying eggs. A 15X15 feet pond is suitable for 500 ducks, if ducks are there then a 30X30 feet pond is suitable.
Question :- What is the total cost for 1000 ducklings in 6 months. give details.
Answer :- According to the expenditure of the above time period, in 6 months, a total of 9000 rupees will be spent on 1000 ducklings. It happens.
Question :- Tell about the profit (income) from duck farming?
Answer :- There is benefit in duck farming, as a duck starts laying one egg a day after five months. We have one thousand ducks out of which about 900 ducks lay one egg per day. Because 90 percent of the females are ducks and 10 percent are males. The average selling price of an egg is around Rs.10, from which we earn around Rs.9000 per day. Thus in 1 month, 9000 rupees per day, 30X9000 = 270000 per month
